Films – Water Holds Me / The Water Binds Us

This film is a collaboration with Cardiff University sociologists Dr Charlotte Bates and Dr Kate Moles, sound designer Jennifer Walton and over 30 swimmers across the UK. Using hand painted watercolour frames, the film seeks to show the multi sensory experience of rivers, lakes and seas and the ways our bodies interact with the water. The film won Best Creative Film at Kendal Mountain Film Festival and premiered at WOW Film Festival where I spoke on a panel discussion about creative responses to academic research.
