An exhibition and film in collaboration with Seven Stories National Centre of Children’s Books and Newcastle University exploring the history of Black British children’s books.

Using the Seven Stories archives, curators Rufaro Faith Mazarura and Karen Sands O’Connor created an exhibition showcasing the incredible history of children’s books and Black Britain. Working with them, I designed the poster, digital branding and panels for the exhibition at City Library, as well as programming the engagement activities.

Working with Rufaro Faith Mazarura, we created an animation exploring the themes of the exhibition, and her own experience of growing up reading.
